For over six decades, Theatre Southwest has been a beacon of creativity, talent, and community engagement. We have consistently delighted audiences with exceptional performances, inspiring stories, and the magic that only live theatre can bring. Our mission has always been to provide a platform for local artists, foster a love for the performing arts, and create a vibrant cultural hub that enriches the lives of our community members.
About this time of year, you would normally be receiving an invitation to For the Love of Theatre Southwest, the annual fundraiser that we depend on to help support our upcoming season. But this year we thought, “Does anyone really want to attend another gala? And in August?” If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that time and resources are precious, and putting on a gala takes up a lot of both.
Would you consider supporting our upcoming 67thseason from the comfort of your own home, instead?
During an unprecedented, pandemic-driven financial crisis two years ago, patrons like you rallied around us and helped get back on solid financial footing. Today, I’m happy to report that we are in much better shape and are preparing for another truly wonderful season of live theatrewith exciting new plays as well as some old favorites.
But, let’s face it, theatres will always need the support of patrons who love this art form -- people like you who understand and cherish its ability to inspire, challenge, and entertain. Anyone who has felt the excitement of sitting in a darkened theatre with a community of like-minded souls, waiting to be magically transported to another place and time, understands that live theatre is a unique and precious gift that deserves to be supported and preserved.
To continue our mission and bring you another remarkable season, we need your support.
Your generous contribution will help us cover essential production costs, ensure that our performances are accessible to all members of the community, and maybe even help us upgrade the theatre with a new air conditioning unit.
We truly believe that the performing arts have the power to inspire and unite communities. With your support, Theatre Southwest can continue to create magical experiences for all, celebrating the rich tapestry of talent that exists within our own backyard.
Your support today will make an enormous difference and help ensure that Theatre Southwest continues to thrive. We look forward to welcoming you to our 67th season and sharing the magic of live theatre with you this season and for years to come!
